Creating healthy dessert recipes has been my jam since I started Happy Healthy Mama back in 2010. No matter where I’ve been on my healthy living journey, from being on a strict anti-inflammatory diet to taking part in Sugar-Free January to breastfeeding a baby with MSPI, I’ve always had a sweet tooth.
My philosophy is to honor my sweet tooth in the most nutritious way possible. Sometimes that means using whole grains instead of white flour, sometimes that means using a natural sweetener instead of refined white sugar, and sometimes that means just adding in something to boost the nutritional content of the dessert.
You CAN enjoy dessert while staying on track with your healthy living goals. Moderation is key. Depravation doesn’t work and is no way to live life anyway!
