Nothing can make me feel quite as revitalized as a glass of fresh juice. I absolutely love juicing and love creating different combinations that create nourishing juices with vibrant flavors.
Did you know I even published a recipe book with some my favorite juice recipes (and other delicious drinks!) called Anti-Inflammatory Drinks for Health. It’s worth checking out!
For this recipe I combined carrots, celery, and ginger and the result is a sweet and spicy combination that is refreshing and delicious! This juice is loaded with nutrients. You’ll get a powerful dose of vitamin A, vitamin C, B vitamins, beta carotene, potassium, magnesium, calcium, and zinc from the carrots and celery and the anti-inflammatory compounds from the ginger.
This is what I love about juicing. I could never eat 8 carrots, 4 celery stalks, and an inch of ginger in one sitting. But I can drink this glass of juice and reap the nutritional benefits quickly!
Keep reading for more information on these nutritious ingredients!
Recipe Ingredients for Carrot Ginger Juice Recipe
This healthy carrot juice recipe is so easy; you only need 3 ingredients that you may already have in your pantry.
Carrots
The first and main ingredient for this recipe is 8 carrots. When selecting carrots for juicing, make sure you get the right variety. For instance, Bolero carrots are sweet and juicy, Little Finger carrots are the sweetest you can find, and Short ‘n Sweet carrots are juicy, sweet, and have a bright orange color. Scarlet Nantes and St. Valery carrots are also good options for delicious carrot ginger juice. So, get the ones that are readily available in your region. As for the health benefits of carrots, they are a power food with immense nutritional benefits. They are rich in potassium and an excellent source of vitamins A, B6, and K. They also contain fiber beta carotene and are known to lower cholesterol levels, are excellent for the eyes, and aid in weight loss. Studies have also shown that carrots can help reduce the risk of developing certain cancers. In short, carrots can be a key aspect of your healthy diet!
Celery Stalks
We will also add 4 celery stalks to the carrot ginger juice. Celery has a salty, bitter, and an earthy taste; however, when combined with carrot ginger juice, it adds a distinct flavor and depth to it. Celery contains extra vitamins that cover the daily recommendation of essential nutrients our bodies require. It has antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties that reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease, lowers blood pressure, and improve the digestive system. It is also rich in vitamins A, C, and K and is a great way to include fiber and potassium in your diet.
Ginger Root
As this is a carrot ginger juice recipe, we will also throw in a 1-inch piece of organic ginger root (if you can find organic). This herb is quite famous because it contains 400 natural compounds that play a key role in reducing the risk of oxidative damage and help fight disease-causing pathogens. Not only does it aid digestion and can ease a nauseous stomach, but it’s a good source of vitamin E. It is an excellent addition to your diet to reduce weight and help with osteoarthritis.
