Ah, summer time. How I love you. Long days. Bare feet. Watermelon Margaritas.

Skinny Watermelon Margaritas.

Yes, Ma’am.

Let’s keep it light.

This margarita is made with almost no added sugar. The watermelon in this refreshing cocktail provides all the sweetness we need. The cointreau adds a tiny bit of added sugar but it’s a minimal amount.

Your whole cocktail is going to be 71 calories and 11 grams of (mostly natural) sugar. Sip sip hooray. (Too much? I’m feeling festive over here.)

Speaking of ingredients–here’s what you’re going to need!

Watermelon Margarita Ingredients

cointreau, silver tequila, watermelon cubes, and 2 whole limes

  • 6 cups watermelon cubes
  • 1 cup silver tequila
  • 2 tablespoons cointreau
  • 6 tablespoons fresh lime juice

This recipe couldn’t be easier. Grab your blender. Blend up the above ingredients. Pour over ice. DONE.

Want them to be frozen margarita slushies instead? Add ice to the blender. So refreshing!

Description

This Skinny Watermelon Margarita is so easy to make with a few simple ingredients and is only 71 calories per serving!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 cups watermelon cubes
  • 1 cup silver tequila
  • 2 tablespoons cointreau
  • 6 tablespoons fresh lime juice
  • ice
  • sugar or salt for rim (optional)

Instructions

  1. Place watermelon cubes, tequila, cointreau, and lime juice in a blender. Blend on high speed until smooth.
  2. If using salt or sugar for the rim of your glasses, use a lime wedge to moisten the rims, then dip the rim into a small plate of salt or sugar (either will work with this recipe!).
  3. Add ice to each glass and pour the margarita over the ice.

Notes

  1. If you’d like a frozen margarita, add ice to the blender with the rest of the ingredients.
