Today I have a delicious smoothie recipe that takes so good you’ll never suspect it’s actually nutritious! Seriously, you are going to LOVE this Pineapple Smoothie.

But first, I have a little story for you. A story worth hearing.
Because we all know that behind the fruits and vegetables we’re consuming, there’s always a story. Sometimes, we need to slow down and listen to the stories.
This story is the tale of two brands that have come together in celebration of longevity, history, and their dedication to happier, healthier families.
In 1928, Mickey Mouse made his Hollywood debut in the short animated film, Steamboat Willie. In the years that followed, Disney became the world’s most beloved brand of entertainment.
While Mickey Mouse was making his first appearance, Dole was in its 77th year of operation. Yes, Dole has been around for 167 years! In Hawaii, James Drummond Dole was overseeing a 20,000-acre pineapple plantation that would grow into the world’s largest provider of fresh fruits and vegetables.
At the same time, in Honduras, thousands of employees were helping grow bananas for a hungry world.
Fast forward to 2018. Dole and Disney have come together to celebrate Mickey’s 90th Anniversary. They celebrate with healthier remakes of iconic recipes and you can find Mickey throughout the ages on a number of Dole’s fresh fruit and vegetables, such as bananas, pineapples, celery, ice berg lettuce, and a number of Dole Salads.
As part of the celebration, Dole created original recipes that look incredible! Here are a few I can’t wait to try:

- 1 heaping teaspoon fresh peeled and chopped ginger
- 1/4 cup canned coconut milk
- 3/4 cup cold water
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
