It’s Stitch Fix time! Are you excited? (Don’t know what in the world I’m talking about? Check out this post to find out about this great online styling service.)
It’s officially been a year since I’ve been using Stitch Fix! I am always so excited when I see my Stitch Fix box sitting on the front porch. This month I didn’t have the best luck with my fix, but I still am happy with the service and the experience. I’m learning that I have to be very specific in my notes to really help the stylist pin down what I’m looking for. So let’s get to the clothes!
Mavi Kalie Distressed Denim Jacket $98
I thought I was going to love this. I love my blue denim jacket, I love everything white, so it seemed like a no-brainer. Then I put it on and…I just didn’t. I can’t put my finger on why I specifically didn’t like it. Is it a bit too short? Maybe. I’m not sure what it was, but I didn’t love this, so back it went. Return!
I have a few maxi skirts and I typically really like them, but this one I didn’t love. I wasn’t crazy about the pattern and I also didn’t love its fullness. This maxi skirt just wasn’t my style. Return!
Papermoon Garland Keyhole Halter Blouse $44
I’m a big fan of this color and I can’t say anything bad about this top. It’s cute. It didn’t wow me though. I want pieces that I can get excited about, and this one didn’t do that for me. I wish it had a unique feature or something interesting, but it was just a boring top. Return!
Gorjana Katia Zig Zag Etched Cuff $68
The photo isn’t the best, but this is a super cute bracelet. It’s 18 karat gold, so I knew it would be a solid bracelet that would last, but I just happened to have a friend who was having a Stella and Dot fundraiser for one of my college BFFs, so I couldn’t justify buying this and not something from the fundraiser. So I got some cute earrings instead of this bracelet. Return!
Donna Morgan Elsie Dress $158
Oh this dress! I took it out of the box and thought “meh” but as soon as I put it on I loved it! Loved it! I thought it was adorable on and thought I should have it. But then I considered the price and the fact that I couldn’t think of where I’d wear it. No summer weddings or showers, which I think it’d be the perfect dress for. Tim also said it was “too sorority girl,” whatever that means. Too young for me? Whatevs. Sadly, I didn’t keep this one. Return!
I was bummed to lose my styling fee this month, but didn’t want to keep anything just to save the $20. I have been busy pinning a lot of outfits to my Pinterest Style Board to help my stylist this month. I’ve slacked on that in the past and I know it’s helpful for her to see what I’m loving right now to get an idea of the kind of clothes I’d like to get. I’m hopeful for a great fix for July!
Stitch Fix has a great referral program and links in this post are my affiliate links. If you are interested in trying out Stitch Fix, I’d love it if you’d use my affiliate link. I appreciate that so much!
Have a great rest of your week, friends.

Men say the ODDEST things when commenting on female fashion/clothing, especially THEIR female’s fashion. And, really, when it comes to that stuff, they just have ZERO taste. It’s a reflex asking my partner what he thinks about something I’m wearing, but every time he asnwers me, I ask myself, “Why did I even waste my breath?” LOL

I know I should learn to just not ask! 🙂

I have had no luck on my last two fixes. My next box arrives next week so if I don’t like this one at the very least I’m thinking I will change my frequency to less often. I have tried to be very specific in my notes (i.e. I do NOT like boxy or flowy tops) but it doesn’t seem to be helping. They are still sending me things I’ve mentioned I don’t like. Besides the Pinterest board, do you have any suggestions for what has worked for you when giving them tips?
By the way, I wish you had kept that dress! It is just so cute and I believe if you really love something you’ll find a perfect time and place to wear it.
