Well, hello there! It’s been AGES since I’ve shared any fashion posts with you. I put a poll out on Instagram stories asking if you wanted them back on Happy Healthy Mama and 95% of you said YES.
Because life is about so much more than just food, right?
How about some of my favorite Stitch Fix pieces I’ve gotten lately? I don’t get a fix every month anymore, more like every 2-3 months, but I still love them as an easy way to add to my wardrobe and keep it fresh and updated.
It’s so easy as busy moms to forget about ourselves. Don’t do that! Let’s take a look at what I’ve loved from Stitch Fix this fall and winter. (Please note that links to products are affiliate links.)
Stitch Fix Favorites Fall and Winter 2018
One reason I stopped posting any fashion posts in the first place was I always felt like my photos were ridiculously bad and I felt like if I couldn’t get professional-looking pics I didn’t want them on my blog. Welllll I still haven’t figured out how to make that happen. Yeah, I look like I’m going to fall off the Earth on this crooked picture. Ha!
This sweater from Collection by Bobeau was in my fall fix and I love it. It’s suuuuper soft, which is basically what sold me on it. The jeans I’m wearing here are not from Stitch Fix, but they are 7 for all Mankind Josefina Feminine Boyfriend jeans and they are the softest, most comfortable jeans ever. The boots are from Cole Haan.
The lightweight sweater is longer in the back with a slit. I’ve worn it a ton since I got it, so that’s a sign of a good purchase in my book.
This is a Leo and Nicole sweater I also got in my fall fix. When I took it out of the box and looked at it, I was kind of meh about it, but once I put it on I changed my mind.
It has a super cute poncho look to it that I didn’t expect.
These jeans are from Just Black Denim and I got them in a fix last year. The boots are from Frye and are my all-time favorites. (These are similar.)
I really like the cut of the sweater from the side.
Here I am wearing three pieces I got in both my fall and winter fixes. It’s the Kafton Lace Up Sweater from Lemon Tart, Joe’s Jeans Midrise Icon Skinny, and Irven Faux Suede Bootie (similar) from Steve Madden.
I like that this sweater is warm (it’s been so cold this winter!) and has fun tie-up detail.
I asked for black booties because mine have been worn to pieces, and I really like these. They have a comfortable block heel and can be dressed up or down. Here’s a better look at the boots.
These jeans are SO amazing. The mid rise is perfect. High enough that they stay put and are comfortable (nothing shows when I bend down!) yet not so high that I feel like I’m trying to dress like an ultra trendy youngin’. 😉
They also don’t lose their fit and get baggy after wearing them a few hours. That’s my biggest pet peeve when it comes to jeans! So worth paying more to get jeans that hold their fit.
I got this Reid French Terry Knit top from Jolie and black sneakers from Cole Haan in my winter fix. The top is super comfortable and perfect for everyday wear. I can’t remember where I got these black distressed jeans, but they are from Articles of Society and I love them!
I asked for a casual sneaker and love these.
This is the last piece I got in my winter fix that I was totally on the fence about. It’s the Raelynn Knit Duster Jacket from Evolution by Cyrus. It’s a pretty trendy piece that I wasn’t sure if I’d wear enough, but I put it on and felt like a total badass. Plus I liked everything else in my fix, so keeping it made sense to get the 25% off discount. So I kept it. What do you think?
These are my newest Stitch Fix pieces!
All right friends, talk to me. What do you think about bringing back fashion posts to HHM? You won’t hurt my feelings. 🙂 I’d love your thoughts!

I just found your website and I am falling in love with all the information. I struggle with a healthy lifestyle with kids because of convenience. Your posts have been awesome that I have read! I stumbled across this one and wanted to share a service I offer called buckleSELET. It’s similar to stitch fix except you get to chose a REAL stylist that puts together your looks. If you want to check it out my website is Buckle.com/coij or my email is [email protected]. I have had so many people fall in love with what we do who used to be a part of stitch fix. I am looking forward to reading more posts!

I think your pictures are fine. We’re all regular human beings and we don’t expect you to be a magazine model. You look great! I’ve been missing the fashion posts too.

Aw you’re so sweet Bree. Thank you for commenting! Sometimes I get into the comparison trap seeing all the perfectly staged photos on Instagram. Thanks for the reminder that it’s not quite real life.

I actually like your photos – I think they’re really fun! And I like that they’re a little different!
If you want to take your own photos, tripod + a wireless clicker! They’re not expensive, and they allow you to stand in front of the camera, let it focus on you (set the focus to manual) and take the picture. I usually do the 2 second delay to let me put my hand down! Amazon has some great options for wireless clickers!

Thank you for posting your stitch fix pieces. They all look great on you! How many did you send back? Ratio of kept to returned? They paid the return shipping, right? I want to try this but am worried that I am too picky and won’t like anything. Though all of yours are lovely and makes me think it might work.
P.S. Your pictures were fine. Did you move all your furniture out of the way for your pictures? My house has too much stuff to ever look that empty, clean, and nice!
Maryea says
Yes, they pay for return shipping. So this is actually from 2 boxes. My winter box I kept them all (5/5), and in my fall box I kept 3/5.
That’s funny you say that about the furniture–I actually moved furniture INTO the picture! Ha! This is our bedroom and it’s so plain we haven’t decorated it hardly at all. I thought it looked way to empty so I brought the little table in from the hallway. 🙂 We really need to decorate more in there!
Thanks for your feedback! I appreciate it!
