A new season is here (hellloooo fall!) and that means it’s time for my seasonal Stitch Fix box! I always get so excited to see what is in the Stitch Fix box I receive every 3 months.
It’s good for me to let a personal stylist send me some fresh looks. I often end up with pieces I wouldn’t normally pick for myself that I end up loving and also helps balance out my activewear addiction.
Would you like to see what I got in my Stitch Fix Fall 2019 box? Let’s goooo!
Stitch Fix Fall 2019 Review
Jen7 Crop Self Fabric Vent Straight Leg Jean $119 Size 4
First up, these jeans from JEN7. This was a new brand to me and at first site I loved them. I loved that they were different than all my straight and skinny jeans, and I loved the length, detail at the bottom, and the frayed edge.
I put them on and they were soft, stretchy, and really comfy. All signs point to a keep, right?
Wrong. In the end, as much as I loved the style and feel of these, I just didn’t feel like they were flattering on me. I have short legs, and I felt like the length and style made them look even shorter. You can decide if you agree as I kept them on for all the pictures. In the end, this was a RETURN.
Cloth & Stone Kyline Ruffle Detail Top $58 Size Small
I was very much on the fence about this top. Even as I look at the picture here, I can’t decide if I like it or not. I think it’s pretty and it had a really soft feel to it. (I love soft clothing…have you caught on to that? 😉) Yet, for whatever reason, I just didn’t love it. I imagined it hanging in my closet never getting chosen. It also really seemed like more a spring top than fall. So I decided it was a RETURN.
Faith + Zoe Tammy Flutter Sleeve Fitted Pullover $58 Size Small
I thought the sleeves of this sweater were really pretty and gray is always a great neutral color to have.
Side note: Why are they calling it a pullover? I think of a pullover as something you pull over another top. This didn’t seem like that kind of thing. What do you think?
See that pretty sleeve? I like that. However, I didn’t think I’d wear this one enough. As a work-at-home-mom who doesn’t need fancy sleeves when she’s testing recipes in the kitchen, I wasn’t sure when I’d reach for this one. Yep; another RETURN.
Eden Society Holly Contrast Hood Cargo Jacket $78 Size Small
I wanted to love this. In theory, it’s a great jacket. Cargo jacket. Great fall color. All the boxes are checked.
I can’t really say what went wrong here. Somehow, I just didn’t love this. And Marie Kondo says we should get rid of anything that doesn’t spark joy. This sparked no joy. You know what that means, right? RETURN.
Street Level Fold Over Vegan Leather Crossbody Bag $48
Batting 0/4 so far! Well, this cute crossbody bag saved the Fix! I just so happen to need a new crossbody bag–a style that is my favorite for shopping, errand running, and going places where I have to walk around with my purse. I like it to feel secure and shoulder bags don’t do that for me.
I thought this was good looking, was not too big, but not too small, had great pockets and compartments (a mom MUST), and was well priced. It’s a KEEP for me!
If I find one great piece in a my seasonal fix from Stitch Fix, I’m happy! It’s a great way to keep your wardrobe up-to-date and fresh. If you’d like to try it, this is my referral link—->TRY STITCH FIX!
