Hi everyone! I’m back with another Stitch Fix Review. If you are new to Stitch Fix, please check out this post to see what it’s all about!
After I cleaned out my closet for the Spring Cleaning Challenge, I was pretty sure it was time to quit Stitch Fix. Although I don’t necessarily need new clothes every month, I decided to stick with it because I love the service. Getting a box of clothes in the mail is such a fun surprise every month! It’s also much more convenient than trying to go shopping when I need something new. I didn’t post my review in April, but I kept the dress I wore for Easter. I never would have found time to shop for a new dress and I really needed something new to wear.
Instead of quitting Stitch Fix altogether, I decided to be pickier about what I keep. I’ll only keep items I truly love. Let’s hope I don’t love five things every month! I may decide to spread out my fixes so I’m not getting them every month, but for now I’m still on their monthly plan. So let’s get to my May Stitch Fix review!
Level 99 Patrick Cropped Chino PantI’m curious what you all think about these pants. I just couldn’t figure them out. The color? My stylist called it “light pink” and I guess it was, but I didn’t love it. It was like a grayish mauve and I couldn’t imagine it matching with anything besides a white shirt. Also, chinos. Maybe I’m not a chinos girl. These are really comfortable as they have some stretch, but I thought the length was off (not quite short enough to be cropped?) and they were a tad too tight in the behind. Return!
Liverpool Susie Bermuda Short
These shorts were another puzzler for me. I’m assuming they are meant to be rolled, but rolling them made my legs look like stuffed sausages. Yet leaving them at this odd length doesn’t work, either. Overall, I think bermuda shorts are tough for me to pull off (although I do have some I like as you’ll see in a later picture). I have short legs that aren’t exactly straight and narrow. So while I loved the color of these (much more my style than the color of the previous pants), I couldn’t handle the length. Return!
Daniel Rainn Deena Crochet Back Blouse
This is a really cute top. I especially love the crochet back. I love interesting and unique details on my clothes, and this blouse delivers that. I just didn’t love the pattern on the front. I couldn’t stop thinking that it looks like something you’d see on an 80’s couch. It is also somewhat similar to the blouse I was on the fence about in this fix and ended up keeping. So, I decided this one couldn’t stay in my closet. Return!
Staccato Margaux Button Up Top
I knew as soon as I opened the box that I loved this shirt. It’s super soft and I love the colors and pattern. I can see myself wearing this with a lot of different things in my closet, too. This one definitely passed the “only keep it if I love it” test! Keep!
Skies Are Blue Tessie Henley Blouse
This is another cute and comfortable top that I really like. The fit is great and I really like the pattern. I just didn’t love the color. I think it’s peach. In general, peach is not a color I love for clothes, but it especially is not a great color for me. For some reason I look tanner in this picture than I really am, but I felt like the color of the top matched my skin and made me look totally washed out. It didn’t work well with my hair coloring, either. Return!
It was a happy surprise that I had enough credits this month that I didn’t have to pay for the top I kept! Thank you so much to those of you who have used my referral link. I really appreciate it! If you are interested in using Stitch Fix, their referral program is great and whenever you tell a friend about it and they get a fix delivered, you get a $25 credit.
I hope you are all having a great week. I’ll be back in the next day or so with a recipe, so stay tuned!

I’m not sure I love the color of the Chino pants, but I own two pairs lol! I love mine because of the stretch and the button that keeps the pocket closed! I think they make some non-cropped. Maybe ask to try those? Glad you found one piece you like this fix!

They did have a nice fit. I wish they had a different color!!

I tried Stitch Fix in the Fall and could never get over the pricing, plus I always felt obligated to keep something. But every time I read these posts it makes me want to give it another try. Do you feel like your boxes have gotten better over time as they get to know your style?
Maryea says
Yes, I do think the boxes have gotten better as they get to know my style! I actually had one stylist two times in a row and thought she was especially good at getting my style, so I think I’m going to request her again. If you find a stylist who really gets you, it’s nice. I know what you mean about feeling obligated to keep something, though.
