It’s time for another Stitch Fix review! If you are new to Stitch Fix, check out this post to get the scoop on what it is and how it works.
You may have noticed I didn’t do a Stitch Fix review in February. I did receive a fix, but I got it right before we left for our Punta Cana vacation. I ended up sending everything back from that fix and didn’t have a chance to get pictures taken so I could blog about it. It was disappointing because I asked for items I could bring on vacation, but didn’t get anything I was hoping for. I’m guessing they just didn’t have warm weather clothing in stock yet. The stylist tried to convince me a few pieces would be good for vacation, but I felt like she was taking winter things and trying to turn them into spring and summer things.
For my March fix, I asked for clothes that would transition from winter to spring well and I asked for some fun, bright colors. I’d say my stylist did well in both of those categories. Ready to see what I got?
Collective Concepts Rilo Button-Up Blouse $68
This blouse was exactly the kind of color I was looking for. After a long, drab winter I wanted some bright colors in my life. It’s also a good piece for transitioning from winter to spring as the sleeves can be worn up or down. Keep!
41 Hawthorn Harriet Chevron Print Detail Dress $64I really didn’t want a dress. I wear dresses a lot in the summer, but not as much in the winter or even spring. When I put this on, though, I really liked it. It’s sleeveless, but I can style it now with a jacket or sweater, tights, and boots and later I can wear it without a jacket and with sandals. After I looked at this photo I realized that it made me look a little wide, so when I wore it the next day, I added a belt so my waist would be more defined. Keep!
Octavia Gweneth Chevron Lace Infinity Scarf $28This is another fun, bright color for spring that I liked. I like how a scarf can elevate a standard grey t-shirt from boring to a cute look. I got the grey t-shirt you see here, by the way, in my very first fix last June. This is a lightweight scarf that I’ll be able to wear all spring and into the summer. It’ll be great for adding a pop of color to my neutral pieces. Keep!
Collective Concepts Lydia Floral Print Key-Hole Blouse
I’m torn on this blouse. I like the color and florals seem to be in, but am not sure on the fit. Check out this picture from the back and you can see that it’s really loose.
Tops are tricky for me. I usually get size medium because I have longer arms and broad shoulders, but sometimes the looser styles are too big. This blouse is a size medium, but I think it would fit better in a small. What do you think? Exchange? Or return?
Pixley Hadley Moto Jacket $98
I’m torn on this jacket, too! I asked for a spring jacket or coat in a fun color, but this wasn’t what I had in mind. I was thinking of a trench or something similar that I could wear often. This seems less like an everyday outerwear jacket and more like something I’d wear as part of an outfit. That doesn’t mean I don’t like it. I think it’s cute. But I’m not sure I need it.
At first I thought I’d definitely return it, then I considered the “buy all discount” of 25%. If I keep everything, the total cost would be $229.50. If I return just the jacket, the cost would be $208.00. I’d say it’s worth paying the extra $21.50 for the jacket. If I decided to return the key-hole blouse and the jacket, my total would be $140. The difference is $89.50. That makes each item I’m considering returning $44.75 instead of $68.00 and $98.00. Oh, Stitch Fix math!
Can you help me decide on this one, too? Keep? Or return?
This is the first time I’ve posted my review before I’ve checked out. I need to check out today and would love your help in deciding what to keep or return! Should I keep it all and get the 25% discount? Or should I return the blouse and/or jacket? Help!

That scarf is so, so cute!!! What did you end up doing about the blouse and jacket?
Maryea says
I kept them both. I am a part of a Stitch Fix group on Facebook and they all encouraged me to keep everything. Lots of buying/selling/trading goes on in the group so I figured if I didn’t end up wearing them I could sell the items. 🙂

Your body language doesn’t look as comfortable and relaxed in the blouse and jacket as the other pieces so I would return them. I’m more of a keep if it you absolutely adore it kind of person in theory, haha, not really in practice.

I think they all look great! Jacket is unique and would be fun wearing our or with jeans and a white/cream tank. Sometimes it’s fun to have things that are outside your comfort zone! I have broad shoulders, petite frame and usually Im a size medium. I just changed my size with Stitch
Fix to a small and the shirts are fitting better.

I am not a fan of the jacket and not in love with the tank. It looks great on you just eh to me.

I love the coral top and scarf – I’m not a fan of the other three items!

I agree with Kathleen. If you’re not really excited about the top and jacket, I’d send them back. No amount of savings makes them worth keeping if you’re never/rarely going to wear them. I’ve learned from experience and, unfortunately, have things hanging in my closet with the tags still on them because I purchased such a “deal”.
Best wishes!

I have no idea what you should keep or return, but can I just say that you have the cutest body ever for a mom of 2 (and in general!)!
Beautiful!

You are too kind! Thank you. 🙂

When in doubt, I try to forgo wardrobe pieces I’m not crazy about, because they inevitably end up being the ones I don’t seek out. If you only buy stuff you LOVE, you know you’ll wear it, but that can be hard, especially with StitchFix math!! I think the blouse is cute, but if you don’t love it/the jacket, I’d pass and use the money next time you get something you really like (even if its not something you “need”!)

On the two you’re debating on:
1. The Top: I love it! I agree it’s too big; I’d definitely request a small.
2. The Jacket: This might be a tough one to style. I’ve gotten a few pieces like this and unfortunately I don’t wear them enough. If you don’t see it sliding into your wardrobe now, it probably never will.
I know with this math it makes it tough! If they can exchange for a small, I’d probably get both. If not, I’d probably skip both.
Hope that helps 🙂

Love the jacket on you! I’m not a fan of the blouse though.
