Each season I highlight the natural products I am using and loving in my home. From products I use in the kitchen, for cleaning, or personal use, these are the things that help me keep my life as toxin-free as possible! Lifefactory Glass Water Bottles
These water bottles are the best. Forget the numbers. Studies show that all plastics are bad for our bodies and mess with our hormones. There are no “safe” plastics. If you haven’t already, ditch the plastic water bottles and stick to glass or stainless steel. I prefer these glass ones because they make the water taste cleaner than stainless steel. I used stainless steel for years, but when I switched to glass I realized how much better the water tastes. We love these Lifefactory water bottles. Tim and I use the flip top ones and Meghan and Luke use the straw top ones. I just added a variety of these to my Amazon store, so check them out there if you are in the market for a new water bottle!
Alba Botanica Unscented Very Emollient Body Lotion, 32 Ounce Bottle
I have been using and loving this lotion for years now. It’s made without parabens or phthalates and gets a low score on the Environmental Working Group’s Skin Deep database (low scores are good!). It’s not a greasy lotion at all and keeps my skin feeling soft. This is truly an unscented lotion, which is a good thing for me because Tim has a very sensitive nose and doesn’t like the scent of most lotions. Also, cosmetic fragrances are almost always synthetic and not great to be rubbing on our bodies.
Primal Pit Paste- Orange Creamsicle
I know that I already talked about Primal Pit Paste in my Summer Edition of Natural Products I’m Loving Now. I just wanted to give you an update and let you know that it totally, 100% passed the summer test. This stuff works. Also, on the recommendation of a reader, I tried the orange creamsicle kind after my lavendar ran out. I love the orange scent! It says that it’s for kids, but I think it is only because the scent is geared for kids, because the rest of the ingredients are the same and it works just as well. Love this deodorant! I just convinced Tim to try it, so I’ll keep you updated on if he likes it. (He was using Tom’s, but having to reapply multiple times a day in order for it to work.)
Misto Brushed Aluminum Olive Oil Sprayer
I know I’m at least five years behind on this one, but I finally got a Misto olive oil sprayer. I’m not sure what I was waiting for! Now I can finally spray my oil when I just need a small amount (on baking pans, etc) and don’t have to buy the commercial kind with propellents. I love my Misto sprayer and use it all the time. I even use it when I just want to mist my salad with a little oil and add some vinegar instead of using a dressing. It’s great!
India Tree Natural Decorating Colors
It isn’t often that I need food colorings, but when I do I turn to India Tree’s natural food dyes. Most recently I used this red to make Meghan’s birthday cupcake frosting a brighter pink than the strawberries would allow. Now that I have the red I can use it for Christmas cookies and/or Valentine’s Day treats. You won’t find India Tree’s natural dyes are as bright and vibrant as the fake stuff, but they will make great pastels or lighter shades of red, green, and blue. For me it’s well worth the compromise to keep the artificial colors away from my kids.
These are the natural products I’m loving now! I would love to hear about any new natural products you’ve discovered OR what kind of natural products you are currently seeking. Share the wealth!

Love this list! I had a life factory bottle until it sadly broke 🙁 I replaced it with a BKR which I love even more!
Maryea says
Is BKR another brand of glass water bottles? I will have to check them out if ours break!
Pragati @ Simple Medicine says
yes! It’s a glass bottle with a silicon sleeve. They come in lots of pretty colors and a few limited edition styles, too. http://www.mybkr.com/shop/#/shop

I’m loving this list! I’m a huge fan of natural deodorant, but the one I get at Whole Foods is $14 so I need to find one that’s a wee bit cheaper! That lotion looks fab as well.
Maryea says
This one is a little cheaper than that. And it works so much better than ANY natural deodorant I’ve tried–which is a lot.

Oh, I want all of these.
