Trendsend Review October 2015I’m back with another Trendsend review! This was my second Trendsend box and I loved it. (You can check out my first Trendsend review here.)

Before I get to the clothes, let me get you up to speed if you don’t know about Trendend.  Trendsend is a personal styling service created by Evereve. Evereve is one of my favorite stores! It was founded on the idea of helping moms. In the words of the founder: “My passion comes from a very simple place, that a mom who is fully alive is the best gift to her family. Evereve means “life,” and is a badge of honor to moms who give life then live it!”

When you sign up for Trendsend, you fill out a detailed style profile. Then a personal stylist will send you 2-3 outfits (6-8 items) for you to try on in your own home.  You keep what you want, send back the rest.  There is no styling fee or shipping fees, so there’s absolutely no risk.

I am currently signed up to receive a Trendsend box every 3 months. My first box arrived late due to more orders then they expected (this is a new service), so I ended up getting my boxes two months apart. No big deal.

Are you ready to see what I got this time? Let’s get to it!

Peyton Jensen Westwood LS Tee $58.00 with AG Stilt MDW $168.00

Trendsend Review October 2015First of all, I’m sorry that the top is wrinkled and has lint on it.  Bad blogger!  I was wearing it under something before I took these pics.  So let’s talk about the Peyton Jensen tee.  It’s a super soft material that I want to live in.  It’s a high-low top that drops lower in the back.  That’s not always my favorite style, but I didn’t mind it here.  I love the neck detail, which is similar to the short sleeved tee I got in my first Trendsend box.  This top is a great layering piece or on its own.  I really needed a new black long sleeved tee as my old one had three tiny holes in the bottom.  Keep!Trendsend Review October 2015

Now the jeans.  I looked at them and though “eh” about the color.  Then I put them on and thought the color was really cool. Maybe too cool for me. 😉 The fit, unfortunately, was just okay.  They were too long, which made them look bunchy with boots. They may have been a tad bit too tight; I wasn’t sure if I liked how they looked on my backside.  For the price, I knew I couldn’t buy them if I wasn’t 100% in love.  Return!

Garnet Field Plaid Oversized Scarf $28.00

Trendsend Review October 2015Here I am wearing the same outfit and just added the scarf.  I love this scarf! Great colors and plaid is definitely a big trend this fall.  Even though it’s trendy, plaid is also classic so it’s not like this is going to go out of style.  I do, however, need to consult Youtube when it comes to wearing scarves.  I feel like I never tie it right.  I love fashion, yet I’m so clueless.  Whatever. It’s a keep!

Peyton Jensen Rosie Hoodie $58.00

Trendsend Review October 2015Trendsend Review October 2015This is a casual hoodie that’s been dressed up with a fur-lined hood.  I feel like I didn’t style it well for these pics because I love it more in person than what I’m seeing here.  What I love about it is that it’s super comfortable and casual, yet I don’t feel like a slob wearing it. It’s soooo warm, too!  Perfect for winter.  It’s also long enough that it looks cute with jeans or leggings.  Keep!

Cloth and Stone Seamed Pocket Denim Shirt $88.00 with Paige Denim Transcend Verdugo Ultra Skinny $179.00

Trendsend Review October 2015Confession:  I was very lazy for this photo shoot.  I only styled this denim top with these jeans because I had them on with the hoodie and didn’t want to take the jeans off and find a new pair to wear with the top. I would never make it as a full-on fashion blogger.  Good thing my main focus is food. Anyway, the denim top.  I liked it, but I already have a very similar denim top.  Also, it was too small.  There is a tab to button the sleeves up and it came with the sleeves all the way rolled up and the tab buttoned.  I tried it on that way and it literally cut off the circulation in my arms.  It took at least 10 minutes to inch them off my arms.  My veins started popping out and it was all together ridiculous.  Can you imagine that scene?  Return!

Trendsend Review October 2015These jeans are fabulous! Love them.  They fit great, have a great wash, and feel fantastic.  But.  I just bought a pair of dark skinny jeans from Stitch Fix.  The pair I bought from Stitch Fix were $88 and these from Paige Denim were $179.00.  Can I tell a difference?  Absolutely.  Almost $100 difference?  I’m not sure.  I put the two jeans next to each other and tried to determine the Trendsend pair was worth the extra money. There was no doubt the denim was softer and I just liked the look, fit, and feel better. But I liked the other pair, too, so it’s hard to say.  Either way, I wasn’t going to shell out the cash for these jeans when they were so similar to the pair I just bought.  Return!

Sanctuary Folk Vest $139.00Trendsend Review October 2015

Trendsend Review October 2015How fun is this vest?  I love it! As soon as I took it out of the box I knew I wanted to keep it.  I have worn it with the Peyton Jensen tee and it looks great.  It’s just a great fall and winter piece that I know I’ll wear a lot.  Keep!

I also received a “Galloon Lace Racerback” from Free People for $38.00 that I forgot to snap a picture of.  It’s called a “bralette” and is basically a lacy bra that you are supposed to wear over your regular bra and then let it show with certain tops.  I guess?  I couldn’t find a top that it actually showed with to check it out, so I sent it back.

Once again, I was really happy with my Trendsend box.  I love the style and service.  For now, I’m alternating between getting Stitch Fix and Trendsend.  I just can’t choose one service that I like over the other! It’s safe to say that styling services are for me, though.  I love the convenience and fun factor.  What’s better than getting a box of clothes in the mail?! Check out Trendsend if you are interested a home styling service.  I highly recommend!

Thanks for introducing me to another service like this- I’m obsessed with Stitch Fix and I love how you do a photo shoot for you fixes, I’ll have to attempt one someday, but I’m no fashion blogger either, haha. FYI there’s a Stitch Fix facebook board for buying, exchanging, etc so if you decided to keep the Trendsend jeans and wanted to get your money back for the Stitch fix ones you could definitely post them on the board.

I’m actually already a part of a Stitch Fix B/S/T board and I don’t know why I didn’t think of that! I’ve actually never bought or sold anything on there, but I like looking at other people’s Stitch Fix favorites. 🙂 Yeah, I really didn’t think I’d keep up with these clothing posts, but I get so many requests for them and they get the most clicks in my newsletter. People like food and clothes I guess! 🙂
