These easy and adorable chocolate Christmas Mice have become a Christmas tradition at our house, so I knew it was time to share them with all of you. I saw these for the first time when my sister-in-law made them years ago, and it was super easy to recreate them on my own. These make whimsical treats to add to your holiday dessert tray–they’re always a huge hit.

Recipe Ingredients–What You Needoverhead shots of ingredients in bowls

1 cup dark chocolate chips

You can also use semi-sweet chocolate chips, I just prefer dark chocolate for the added antioxidants and health benefits that go with it!

2 teaspoons coconut oil

Coconut oil makes the chocolate thinner and easier to work with, and makes the finished product have a softer bite.

30 red pitted maraschino cherries with stems

The maraschino cherry will provide the perfect mouse body shape with the stem as the tail for our cute Christmas Eve mice! I always look for brands with no artificial colors, flavors, or preservatives, and no high-fructose corn syrup. You can find these in well-stocked grocery stores.

30 milk chocolate kisses

Hershey’s Kisses will be the mouse’s head and a delicious piece of chocolate.

60 sliced almonds

Sliced almonds are used for the ears of our little guys. Almonds add vitamin E, magnesium, calcium, zinc, and heart-healthy fats. So there’s that.

Optional:

white decorative icing

I use just a few dots of white decorative icing to make eyes. I’ve tried different methods and ingredients, and this is the easiest.
