DIY Lavender Linen Spray. Make your own lavender linen spray for much cheaper than you can buy it, plus you control the ingredients! We spray this on my kids' pillows every night and it helps them calm down at bedtime and sleep restfully! My husband and I use it, too. This summer we stayed with some friends who have a beach house.  As a thank you gift, I made them a bottle of my homemade After-Sun Spray with essential oils and also a bottle of this Lavender Linen Spray.  I made an extra bottle for our house, thinking it would be for me and Tim.

One night, when my 7-year-old daughter, Meghan, was restless and having trouble falling asleep, I brought in the bottle and sprayed her pillow and blanket.  The next morning, she said to me, “That stuff really worked!” and told me how she fell asleep quickly after I sprayed the lavender spray on her linens.

After that she started asking me frequently if she could have the lavender spray at bedtime. I’d run down to our room and grab the bottle so she could have a few sprays.  Then I’d bring it back to our room because we love using it, too.  One night she said, “I think I need to use that lavender spray every night.”  DIY Lavender Linen Spray. Great DIY gift idea, also!!The DIY Lavender Spray got a permanent home on her nightstand and I decided Tim and I would need our own bottle.

Made with lavender essential oil, this spray is simple to make and much less expensive than buying a commercially made spray. Lavender essential oil has a pleasant fragrance and is known to be a calming oil that helps with anxiety and insomnia.   It definitely helps our family at bedtime.DIY Lavender Linen Spray. Here’s what you’ll need:

    • 20 drops Lavender Essential Oil
    • Filtered Water
    • 2 tablespoons Vodka (optional, but the spray will last longer)
    • 4 ounce Spray Bottle

It’s so easy to make this Lavender Linen spray.  All you’ll need to do is mix the lavender essential oil with the vodka in your spray bottle.  Fill the rest of the way with water, put on the top and shake.  Ready to go!

I use my Brother Label Maker to create the labels for my essential oils sprays.  It took me less than five minutes to create the label you see and print it up. It’s super easy to use and I love it for organizing!

If you or your children have trouble calming down for peaceful sleep at bedtime, please give this Lavender Linen Spray a try. It’s a blessing to be able to naturally help my family get restful sleep.
