Stitch Fix Review: August 2015Just before we headed off to vacation my latest Stitch Fix box arrived on my doorstep. What a fun surprise to get just before leaving! Is there anything better than having a box of new clothes, picked for you by a personal stylist, shipped right to your door?  I don’t think so!  I guess that’s why I’ve stuck with Stitch Fix for over a year now.  This service has really helped me build my wardrobe slowly and keep it updated.

This month my stylist was Lora and she did a great job!  I’ve been contemplating requesting the same stylist so that she can get to know my style even better, but I’ve been waiting for the perfect stylist to come along.  I now have two stylists that I’m thinking about requesting for future fixes.  Quinci styled me twice and really seemed to get me.  But I also really liked what Lora sent me this month, so I’m not sure who I should go with.  Let’s take a look at what I got!

Market & Spruce Nolen Printed Detail Henley Tank $54

Stitch Fix Review: August 2015This is a beautiful top with colors that I love.  It was the perfect material–casual enough that I could wear it everyday for my stay-at-home mom gig.  I love clothes that make me feel cute, yet are comfortable enough to play with the kids in.  This top worked perfectly for that. Stitch Fix Review: August 2015Here’s a close up of the pattern.  There was one teensy problem with this top.  It was too short, especially on the sides.  It went up shorter on the sides, which was a strange style for anyone, really, but especially someone like me with a long torso.

Stitch Fix Review: August 2015I put my arms up in this pic so you could see just how short it was.  The length just didn’t work for me.  Return!

Zad Turner Paddle Fringe Earrings $28

Stitch Fix Review: August 2015These are the earrings I’m wearing in the pictures above, as well.  I love these so much and know that I’ll wear them all the time. Keep!

Market & Spruce Bethanie Striped Maxi Skirt $68

Stitch Fix Review: August 2015This is a high quality skirt.  You can just tell the material is top notch.  The stripes are cute and I love this style.  It is two layers of material, though, which makes it quite hot for a summer skirt.  Also, this:

Stitch Fix Review: August 2015I have this other maxi skirts that’s very similar.  Although they aren’t exactly the same (mine is black and white, the Stitch Fix skirt is navy and white, my stripes go straight across while the Stitch Fix skirt’s stripes angle in) I couldn’t justify buying another striped maxi skirt.  Return!

Market & Spruce  Laural Maxi Dress $78

Stitch Fix Review: August 2015After last month’s Fix, I left a note to my stylist that I’d like a maxi with a more straight style that isn’t fitted in the middle.  I give Lora credit for trying with this one.  It’s definitely not fitted in the middle and hides the “mom pooch.”  I felt, however, it still wasn’t super flattering.  It was almost as if there was a little too much fabric.

Stitch Fix Review: August 2015I also wasn’t too crazy about this pattern and color combination.  It was just okay, but not my favorite. Looking at these pictures, I like it more than I did at the time. Nonetheless, I didn’t love it. Return!

THML Emory Spaghetti Strap Top $44

Stitch Fix Review: August 2015I immediately feel in love with this top.  The colors, the style, everything.  Isn’t it cute?  I really love that it’s loose, but not flowy.  I’ve come to realize I don’t love super flowy tops that lose my shape, but I do like a little space.  This fit was just what I was looking for.  Stitch Fix Review: August 2015Here’s a close up of the fabric and pattern.  I forgot to get a picture of the back while Meghan was shooting my fashion show, but I thought you’d really like to see it.  So here’s a not-so-great iPhone pic of it in my closet.  I think the back is great and worth showing, even if it’s not the best photo. 🙂

Stitch Fix Review: August 2015I’m sure you figured it out by now, but this one was a KEEP!

I was really happy with this month’s Fix.  Getting two new things that I adore is a win in my book.  If you’d like to try this service, I’d love it if you would use my affiliate link.  Thanks so much, friends!

Now, at the risk of sounding like a subscription box addict, I have to tell you something. I recently signed up to try a different service, just to see what it would be like.  Trendsend is similar in concept to Stitch Fix, but comes from the store Evereve (formerly Hot Mama), which I love.  I have a feeling it’s going to be more pricey than Stitch Fix, but there’s no styling fee, so there’s no risk involved.  I’m telling you about it because I’m wondering if you’d like to see what I get in my Evereve box, also?  Please let me know in the comments!
