We all do. Just pause, slow down, and look at what is surrounding us. What do you see?
I see love. Love surrounds me every day. It doesn’t go away when life gets hectic; it’s there whether I’m angry, happy, lonely, or frustrated. It’s there when Meghan and Luke are wrestling on the ground, fighting over a toy. It’s there when Tim and I disagree about who should be cleaning the dishes.
Life can be chaotic, but love is constant. How lucky I am to have this love that is bigger than life. Valentine’s Day often leaves me reflective. Remember my Big Love post? Don’t judge.
Retailers across America throw images of hearts and the bold letters L-O-V-E in our faces weeks and weeks before February 14th rolls around. How can I not think about the three loves of my life? God knew what he was doing when he gave me these three people to love and call my family.Nothing makes me happier than to see my three loves with smiles on their faces. What makes all three of them smile every single time? Chocolate. Chocolate must be the universal language of love. I set out to make them a Valentine’s Day-worthy treat that involved chocolate. I thought a chocolate-covered strawberry milkshake sounded perfect. Of course, with my love for them comes a strong desire to keep them healthy, so you know I went with a Happy Healthy Mama version of a milkshake. I used cashewmilk as the base for this delicious milkshake. Yep, Silk® came out with a Cashewmilk and you can buy it in stores! I’m obsessed. Silk® is my go-to brand if I’m going to buy a non-dairy milk at the store. You have to be careful with non-dairy milks, as they can have unwanted added ingredients like carrageenan. Silk® Cashewmilk is carrageenan-free and is verified by the Non-GMO Project. What has me the most excited is how creamy it is. It’s way creamier than skim milk, but with 1/3 of the calories in the unsweetened version. Cashewmilk is different. It tastes amazing! I tried both the original and the unsweetened and I love them both. I like the unsweetened for everyday use and the original for a special treat like this. I knew that cashewmilk would be perfect for a dairy-free, yet rich-tasting milkshake. I froze some for the base of this milkshake and I love how it turned out! My loves did, too. You can’t go wrong when you can have a dessert ready in minutes. This dessert is very low in fat, yet full of rich chocolate and strawberry flavor. You’ve got to make this! Print

Another great recipe. I got some cashew milk today and remembered your recipe. I did not freeze any inn ice cubes yet so made it with frozen strawberries, frozen banana and ice. I am in my 3rd trimester with 3rd baby and craving chocolate, ice cream, frozen treats and fruit. This was perfect. Since I really do not feel like actually eating a salad and big meals I made this into a lunch. Added a bunch of spinach, extra cashew milk and some hemp seeds and called it luch today. Was so s good. THank you

Lately I’ve been all about freezing drinks into ice cubes- my husband tells me I’m obsessed with the freezer. I haven’t tried Silks Cashew Milk yet- now I must, this looks so dreamy and creamy!
Maryea says
It’s a great way to make a thick frozen treat without having to dilute it with extra ice!
