Family movie night? Use this list of 100 family-friendly movies to choose one on which the whole family will agree!Stuck at home? Yep, us too. We’re making the most of the situation by using this time to do things we don’t always have as much time for, like family movie nights. On a Wednesday. Or Thursday. Who needs the weekend, anyway?
We knew we’d be having more family movie nights than normal, so I asked my Facebook friends to give me some suggestions for family-friendly movies we would all like.
We have Luke who is 8 and Meghan who is 11 so we needed a lot of suggestions to find movies appropriate and enjoyable for everyone in the family.
They came through in a big way, leaving me with almost 100 suggestions of family-friendly movies! I did a little research to get an even 100 movies I could share with all of you who are probably searching, too.
I’ve sorted the family-friendly movies by age, as guided by Common Sense Media. It’s my go-to source for checking out movie reviews and seeing if movies or TV shows will be appropriate for the kids. I love how it breaks down categories within each movie, such as violence, language, sex, drinking/drug use, positive messages, and consumerism, so you can see exactly what you’re getting into.
I linked each movie to the Common Sense Media Review for you to check out and read. With 100 movies on the list, I’m sure you’ll be able to find something your family will love. Remember, the ages are just a guide and you can make the best call for your family. Also, older kids will still love movies in the younger categories, that just gives you a rough idea of the youngest age for which the movies in that category are appropriate.
