We’ve made it to the last day of Happy Healthy Mama’s Giveaway Week! I have had a blast with these giveaways. “It is more blessed to give than to receive.” It really does feel good to be hosting these giveaways. Jesus sure knew what he was talking about.
Before I get to today’s giveaway, I need to talk about something uncomfortable. Money. You see, I’m not in this blogging thing for the money. If I was, I’d be failing miserably. I actually went months and months without any source of monetization because things didn’t work out with my old advertising network. I just didn’t have the time to research new ones or figure out new ways to earn money from blogging, so I kept doing what I do without getting paid a cent.
Unfortunately, I can’t justify to my family putting in the kind of time it takes to have a quality blog without getting paid for it. You may have noticed that I am now a part of the BlogHer advertising network. So far, it’s been a great fit for me and I love the network.
I decided that another way to help with the whole justify-the-time-away-from-my-family thing would be to open a Happy Healthy Mama Amazon store. I figure an Amazon store is a win-win situation for me and you, my readers. You can buy products that you know come recommended highly. Everything I put in my store is something I’ve used or use regularly and love. In exchange, I can say to Tim, “See! I do make some money from blogging!” 😉
I just put a link to the store in my sidebar (over there—–>), so if you get the chance, browse through it and see if there’s anything you need. You will find a variety of things from food products to supplements to kitchen essentials to books I’ve read. If there is something you’d be purchasing anyway, I’d so appreciate it if you’d get it through my store.
I thought a gift card giveaway would be a perfect way to launch the new Happy Healthy Mama Amazon store! Today I am giving away a $25 gift card to be used in my new store!
Giveaway rules: All readers of Happy Healthy Mama are eligible to win. One entry per household.
How to enter: To enter, leave one comment telling me what you think you’d like to get from my store if you win. If you don’t feeling like clicking through right now, just tell me your thoughts on blogging. 🙂 Extra comments from the same computer will be deleted. A valid email address must be used.
A winner will be chosen randomly and announced next Monday, July 29, 2013.
P.S. It’s your last chance to like my Facebook page before I choose a random winner from the fans for a bonus giveaway this afternoon!

This is great! I would love to shop through an Amazon store from someone who is trustworthy and has the same goals in mind.

I’d try the coconut flour. I’d love to try baking with it and they don’t have it in my regular grocery store.
Thanks for all you do with your blog. I can’t imagine how hard it would be to maintain a blog and the time it takes. I *thought* about blogging for awhile but realized I don’t have the ability to set limits so that it wouldn’t take over my life! 😉 Good for you for finding a way to make some money while doing something you love and bringing great recipes, etc. to your readers.

I think I might splurge on some coconut butter for once! I’ve only ever made it myself, and it was just too much work with my crappy food processor.
Emily F. says
I would probably get the chia seeds since I have not bought some yet and would like to try it out.
Mackenzie says
Quinoa, quinoa, quinoa!!!!!!! Just one of many things I want to get!

It’s a toss up between coconut oil and the mandoline.
Alison says
yeast… don’t know much about it and would appreciate having a recommended brand.
Michelle says
Either the Zoe olive oil (love that stuff!) or chia seeds (so yummy in my morning oatmeal)
Nadya Lawson says
I’d buy the chia seeds — I’m slowly making the dietary changes I need but it’s a challenge to afford it. I know that once I get a handle on recipes and planning the cost will go down but the entry is rough. I’m really glad I found this blog — even without the giveaways 🙂
