A few updates and a winner

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve updated my About and Links pages in the past year.  In my head.  I thought about it a lot.  But when it came down to the dirty business of actually getting it done, it never happened.

It wasn’t so much that I was procrastinating.  Well, maybe a little.  Mostly, though, it was whenever I had time to work on my blog, it needed to be a post I wanted to get up or pictures I needed to edit.

Who has time to work on a back page?  Nobody cares about those pages, anyway.  Then one day I happened to click on my About page, and much to my horror realized it said I was the mom of one child, a two-year-old.  Said tw0-year-old is almost four now, not to mention the second child who came along since I wrote that.

I continued on to look at my Links page to see so many of my favorite blogs painfully missing and others that I rarely read anymore because their authors stopped posting regularly.

These updates were long overdue.  Check them out if you have a minute (or more than a minute if you plan on perusing through my Links page).  I tried really hard to include all the blogs I love to read, but I’m sure I forgot one (or two or three).  If you think I mistakenly left yours off the list, please shoot me an email and I’ll put it up.

And now for the fun part of the post:  a winner!

Chosen by a random number generator, the winner of the case of Ball jars is Amy, who said:

Happy canning, Amy!  I have emailed you to get your shipping information, so check your inbox!

Just a bit of perspective from a reader (well, THIS reader at least)…I do read “back-end” pages because I like knowing each blogger’s “story” as well as what other blogs they’re into. I have found some of my favorite blogs this way…probably found this one that way too! So my advice is to keep those updated as often as you can. 🙂
