Post-vacation blues

We’re back from our Upper Peninsula of Michigan vacation.  I was born and raised there and I’m still not used to the crazy weather.  You just never know what you’re going to get. Even though we had a few chilly, windy days, it was a wonderful vacation catching up with family and friends.

We have 27 bug bites to remember our trip by, 25 of which are on Meghan’s legs.    We’re all running on a sleep deficit and trying, with  minimal success, to get organized and back into our regular routine.

I’ll be back soon with a real post, but for now here’s our vacation, in pictures.

I loved upper Michigan the one time I visited. We stayed in a little cabin hidden in the woods and it was pretty relaxing!

Meghan is really growing up! She is beautiful! And Luke, well, he’s just too cute with his big blue eyes. Hope you got to relax for a little while and can get back into “normal life” soon.
P.S. The sugar stats you posted are astounding, but honestly not surprising to those of us who pay attention to labels…when it comes to education people, I hope we are headed in the right direction though.

When I was little (maybe age 7-8) I had 31 misquito bites between my wrist and elbow. Plus I had bites all over the rest of my body, causing me to be sick on vacation. I am still a bug magnet – but never had anything as bad as that one vacation to Princton, MN! 🙂

Glad you had a nice vacation!

Looks like a great trip! We will be there in a week – can’t wait! Love spending time at the cottage. Reese has traveled lots this summer so Sage and I were able to spend one week in June and one week in July at my parents. Always nice to go home!

How nice! I wish it wasn’t such a long drive. One year I want to go at the 4th when everyone is there. We usually end up going when no one else is around.

I love the UP! Most of my father’s side of the family lives in Sault Ste Marie on Lake Superior and I go up to visit every couple of years (the rest of the family is scattered throughout the LP).

Glad you had a wonderful trip (minus the bug bites).

I am from Sault Ste. Marie! My parents don’t live there anymore so I don’t get a chance to get back there often, though.
