I’m always looking for deals on the more expensive food items I buy since eating healthy isn’t always cheap. So when I came across a smokin’ deal on organic coconut oil on Amazon, I was feeling the Christmas spirit and snagged two extra jars. Do you know what that means? That’s right, folks, Happy Healthy Mama is hosting her very first giveaway!
You’ve heard me tout the benefits of cooking and baking with coconut oil. It’s a healthy fat loaded with medium-chain fatty acids, the same kind you find in breast milk, which are known to have anti-viral, anti-fungal, and antimicrobial properties. I use it in everything from stir-fried veggies to cookies. Many people enjoy using it as a skin or hair moisturizer and as an ingredient in homemade, natural deodorants. You will have no problem finding uses for these two jars if you are the winner.
One lucky Happy Healthy Mama reader will win TWO jars of Nature’s Way EfaGold organic extra virgin coconut oil! Here’s all you have to do to enter to win:
Leave a comment letting me know your favorite use of coconut oil. If you don’t use it yet, let me know why you’d like to try it.
If you would like more chances to win, here’s how you can get additional entries (leave a separate comment for each additional entry):
1.) Refer a friend to Happy Healthy Mama. Have your friend leave a comment saying “{Your Name} referred me!”. You and your friend will both get an additional entry!
2.) “Like” my Facebook page. Leave a comment saying “I like your Facebook page!” If you already like it, that counts, just make sure to leave a comment so I can count your entry.
3.) Follow me on Twitter. Leave a comment saying “I’m following you on Twitter!” Ditto above if you are already a follower.
4.) Subscribe to my rss feed or subscribe by email. Leave a comment saying “I subscribed to your feed (or by email)!” If you already follow this way, just let me know that.
5.) If you are a blogger, add me to your blog roll or link page and let me know you did so.
So there you have it, you can get up to SIX entries to win some amazing coconut oil! I know that’s a lot of commenting, but it will help me to keep the entries straight. I will pick one winner, by random selection, one week from today. Look for the winner to be announced Tuesday, December 14th. Happy entering!

What a great give away! I also add it to lots of different recipes – granola bars, tropical smoothies, etc. but my favorite is using it as a very natural, paraben-free moisturizer!! I keep a separate jar upstairs in my bathroom for this – but I like to put it on my feet and then put big fuzzy socks on and sleep that way. It works like a charm!

I’m not sure if you’re doing an International give-away, but I’ll throw my name in the hat. I love coconut oil and use it in so many ways : baking mostly, and lots of raw cuisine dishes, too, because of the great texture it gives.
And I’m going to follow you on Twitter – I didn’t know you were there!

Hi Maryea,

I don’t use it yet but I would like to try it out on my hair. I am growing it out and I read earlier today that it is used in place of a shampoo once in awhile.

Hope you’re doing well!
