House Hunting

It’s been a busy week over here with Tim’s parents in town and house things going on.  So I come to you once again sans recipe, but I think you’ll forgive me once the delicious recipes I’ve been working on are ready.  {Hint:  Two of them involve chocolate.}

Our morning was spent house hunting.  We’ve been renting the house we are living in for almost two years now (since we first moved to Ohio from Arizona) and our landlord is ready to put it on the market.  It’s been perfect to be able to live in a rental for two years while we got a chance to get to know the area, but now we are serious about finding a home where we can really get settled.

Since I didn’t have a recipe to share today, I thought I’d give you a peek at our house hunting fun.  In keeping things on theme, I’ll show you the kitchen and dining rooms.  I’m sorry all of the pictures aren’t top notch; I was just snapping away while trying to keep another eye on Meghan.

House #1

I love white kitchens!

Pretty brand new appliances, but no gas. 🙁

Standard pantry (looks a lot like mine)

Interesting butler’s pantry

This house did have a dining room, but for some reason I didn’t take a picture of it.

House #2

Another white kitchen!

Planning desk area

View into kitchen from the family room

Fancy-shmancy dining room

House #3

View into kitchen from family room

Double ovens!

Electric cooktop and not my favorite backsplash.

Hello, walk-in pantry!

More pantry shelves behind the door

Dining room that is open to a formal living room

We have more houses to look at, but out of these three there is a clear front runner.  Can you guess which one?

I am hoping #3, since you’d still be in the neighborhood :).

I’m guessing #1, then #3. They all look very nice! How fun.

I may be in the miniority here, but, I say house #3 with the walk in pantry because that’s why we chose our house because of the walk in pantry. I absolutely love having that much space to store big applicanes, brooms, the big bag of dog food for our 90 lb. baby girl labrador, etc. Good Luck house hunting and hope you get the one you want.

Good luck in your search. We bought our first house back in May.

I really like #2! I am hoping that is the one you are “crushing” on. They are all nice, so I am sure you will find the perfect home to fit your family 🙂 Good luck!

Just discovered your blog; spending hours looking through it! Nice to find a blogger with the same food mentality! I look forward to trying your recipes (I just had our 4th baby, so my brain doesn’t come up with new meals easily!).
