Dear Tired Mama,
You are tired. Every bone in your body aches with fatigue and some days, just keeping your eyes open takes a massive effort.
You are busy. There’s so much to do, you can’t think straight. Using your precious little free time to exercise seems frivolous. Selfish.
Your little ones need you. They need you all the time. You want to give them everything; you aren’t sure if you have anything left to give yourself.
It’s been so long. You let the time slip away and your sneakers haven’t been laced up to exercise in longer than you care to admit. The thought of how much it could hurt leaves you with dread.
I have been you. I am you.
Remember that it just takes one workout. One workout gets you started. One workout gets you on the path to the next workout. I can confidently say that you won’t regret that workout when you are done. Focus on being done and how you will feel.
This is for you. You have the right to feel good in your skin and exercise helps with that. You deserve the luxury of focusing on your health for once.
This is for your kids. It seems counterintuitive, but exercise makes you less tired, not more tired. Working out will give you more energy to play with your kids. More energy to really be there for them.
This is for your husband. He wants you to be happy, confident, healthy, energetic, and positive. Exercise can give you all of those things.
It doesn’t matter if your last workout was last month, last year, or never. Here’s one to get you started. If you don’t belong to a gym that has an indoor track, use a treadmill. If that’s not an option, run around your house. No dumbbells? Use some large cans or filled water bottles. Improvise, but don’t make an excuse. You need this. You got this.
Love,

Yay! I will try this. I don’t have a gym membership but enjoy getting outside for walks or jogs. It’s not always possible and it’s nice to do something that can be done at home with the kids. I have a mini trampoline I’ve been using lately too, which is fun for me and the kids. Variety is key for me. Thanks for the inspiration. It’s true that it is so wonderful to have more energy from moving!

Variety is a big key for me, too! You must live somewhere warmer than me…it’s been pretty frigid here so I haven’t been outside ego exercise in a while! Spring can’t come soon enough. 🙂

Thank you! Needed to hear it from someone and get that extra push 🙂 getting on that exercise bike tomorrow morning before kids wake up!
Thank you!!

If I inspired one person to workout, I’m happy. 🙂 Thanks for letting me know!

This list is ambitious for me yet. BUT, I have joined a pushup daily challenge group and ready to get moving!

Honestly, this workout can be as hard or as easy as you need it to be. Use light weights and jog/walk as needed. You got this! 🙂
