When the snack beast rears its ugly head at your house, what do you feed it? Today, I’ve got an idea for you. Actually I have four ideas for you.  Healthy fruit dip done four different ways!

My kids can eat truck loads of fruit. They love all fruit and it’s the first thing they eat from their plate no matter what meal we’re eating. I’m glad they like fruit, but I like to add a little protein into their snacks as well.  Lots of fruit with no protein doesn’t always do the best job of satiating hunger.

The answer?

Fruit dip made with Silk Dairy-Free Yogurt Alternative in Simply Plain!

I was so happy when Silk made this large size available in plain! This Silk Dairy-free Yogurt Alternative offers 11 grams of plant-based protein per serving. I prefer the plain variety so I can sweeten it naturally and control the amount of sugar I use. Plus, plain gives us a blank canvas to work with to create the fruit dips of our dreams.

Every one of these fruit dips was a big hit with both kids. They ate them up until the fruit was gone and then they finished them off with spoons. These dips can be used as I’m showing them, as dips, but they would also be fantastic as toppings for pancakes or waffles.

Peanut Butter Dip

I couldn’t decide if I liked this one better with apples or bananas. Either way, it’s delicious!

Picking a favorite healthy fruit dip is like trying to pick a favorite child. It’s just not possible. All of them provide great snacking options, and my 4-year-old Luke even requested fruit and fruit dip for breakfast.
