Yesterday I posted an article about why strength training is important for everyone, and today I’m posting a recipe for an Apple Cider Old Fashioned Cocktail. Tell me the truth: do you find that weird? Do you feel like it should be one (healthy living) or the other (letting loose)?

I see it like this: healthy living is all about balance. Having a cocktail fits into my healthy lifestyle. And I happen to have a husband who loves to play bartender and make me drinks once in a while.

In the summer months I usually ask him to make the best margarita recipe, but when fall and winter roll around, it’s fun to drink seasonal drinks like this Apple Cider Old Fashioned Cocktail.

Up until recently, I couldn’t stand bourbon. It was so strong and just not my favorite. It’s Tim’s go-to liquor of choice, so he’d share a sip here and there. One day, I started liking the taste. So weird.

I basically feel like, at age 40, I’ve officially reached adulthood since I actually like bourbon now. If you are not on Team Bourbon but love rum, try this Sparkling Apple Cider Cocktail.

This Apple Cider Old Fashioned Cocktail is a fun twist on a classic Old Fashioned Cocktail and it would be perfect to serve during Thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings. Let me know if you try it!

Sounds delicious. In the Fall & Winter we tend to drink warmed apple cider bourbon drinks but this looks so tasty! Will definitely give it a try.
