Description

These homemade elderberry gummies are easy to make, kid friendly, and keep everyone in the family healthy.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 cup elderberry syrup
  • 3 tablespoons unflavored gelatin

Instructions

  1. Start with room temperature elderberry syrup and place 1 cup elderberry syrup in a small saucepan. Whisk in 3 tablespoons unflavored gelatin, one tablespoon at a time, whisking until it is dissolved before adding the next.
  2. Turn on the heat, and allow mixture to get hot, but not boiling. Let it get to a very low simmer, and maintain that for 1 minute.
  3. Remove from heat and transfer to small molds. Any silicone molds will work, or you can oil a baking dish and pour the mixture into the baking dish to set.
  4. Remove from heat and transfer to molds. Any silicone mold will work, or you can oil a baking dish and pour the mixture into the baking dish to set.
  5. Allow to set in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before removing from the molds. If you used a baking dish, cut the gummies into squares and then use a spatula to remove them from the dish.
  6. For immune protection, eat 1-3 gummies a day.

Notes

This is the elderberry syrup recipe I recommend. It makes more than one cup, so you can make multiple batches of these gummies.
