These Salted Dark Chocolate Covered Banana Bites are a healthy way to satisfy your sweet tooth!
Ingredients

- 3 medium bananas, sliced
- 3.5 ounce dark chocolate bar, chopped and melted
- almond butter (or nut butter of choice)
- coarse salt
Instructions
- Line a baking sheet with wax or parchment paper.
- Make a “banana sandwich” by putting a small smear of almond butter (or nut butter of choice) in between two banana slices and place them on the baking sheet. Place the baking sheet in the freezer for 10-30 minutes to firm the banana sandwiches. (This makes them easier to work with)
- Meanwhile, melt your chocolate. You can use the microwave or a double broiler on the stovetop.
- Next, put a banana sandwich on a spoon or use two forks and dip it into the melted chocolate. Let excess chocolate drip back down, and then place the chocolate-covered banana on the baking sheet and repeat until all of your banana sandwiches have been used.
- Top each chocolate-covered banana with a small amount of coarse salt. These may be stored in the refrigerator or freezer*.
Notes
If you store these in the freezer, they’ll need a few minutes to thaw out before eating them as they will be very firm.
