Description

Cottage cheese it the newest way to top your toast with extra protein for a filling and satisfying breakfast. Choose your favorite toppings to make yours savory or sweet!


Ingredients

Base

  • 1 large slice of sour dough bread
  • 1/2 cup cottage cheese
  • salt and pepper (optional)

Choose your topping combination:

  • 1/2 avocado + everything bagel seasoning
  • 2 sliced strawberries + shredded coconut
  • 1/2 banana, sliced + cinnamon + almond butter + drizzle of honey
  • 5 mini tomatoes, quartered + 3 basil leaves, chiffonade + drizzle of balsamic vinegar

Instructions

  1. Place your sour dough bread in the toaster until browned and toasted.
  2. Top with 1/2 cup cottage cheese*. Use a spoon to evenly spread. For savory toppings, add salt and pepper to the cottage cheese, if desired. For sweet, just sprinkle with salt, if desired.
  3. Add desired toppings. Enjoy!

*Optional Step: Blend your cottage cheese in a blender until smooth and creamy before putting on the toast.
