Description
This Bowtie Pasta Salad with Italian Dressing is quick and easy to make and is always a crowd pleaser! Can be served cold as a pasta salad or hot as a pasta dinner!

- 1 lb bowtie (farfalle) pasta, preferably whole wheat
- 2 teaspoons avocado oil, or oil of choice
- 12 ounces thin asparagus spears, cut into 2-inch pieces
- salt and pepper
- 1 8 ounce package grape tomatoes, halved
- 2 cups cooked, shredded chicken
- 1 cup homemade Italian dressing (or store bought)
Instructions
- Cook the pasta according to the package directions. Allow to cool.
- Meanwhile, in a skillet pan, heat the oil over medium high heat. Add the asparagus to the pan and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Cook until it is crisp-tender, about 5 minutes. Allow the asparagus to cool.
- Place the pasta, asparagus, tomatoes, and chicken in a large bowl and toss to combine.
- Add the Italian dressing and stir to evenly coat the salad. Taste and add more salt and pepper if needed. Enjoy!
