- 1 pound dry black beans
- water
- 2 teaspoon salt (optional)
Instructions
- Put the dry black beans in a bowl and cover them with 3” water. Allow to soak for 4-8 hours and then drain them.
- Add the soaked black beans and 6 cups water to the inner pot.
- Press the manual or pressure cook button and adjust the time to 25 minutes.
- When the timer beeps, let the pressure release naturally for 10 minutes, then quick-release any remaining pressure until the float valve drops, then unlock the lid.
- Add the salt to the beans and then transfer to a bowl for serving or an airtight container to store.
