Description

This mulled apple cider recipe is a fun twist on a classic and is the perfect holiday drink!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 gallon apple cider or unfiltered apple juice
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon all spice berries
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1 orange, sliced
  • 4 cinnamon sticks
  • 2 cups whole fresh cranberries

Instructions

  1. Pour the apple cider and maple syrup in the slow cooker and mix well.
  2. Add the rest of the ingredients. **Optional: If you prefer, put the allspice berries and cinnamon sticks in a square of cheese cloth and bundle together and tie with kitchen string.***
  3. Cook on high for 3 hours, then switch to warm setting for serving. Serve with extra cinnamon sticks and orange slices, if preferred.
  4. Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator and enjoyed either hot or cold. Remove orange slices before storing to avoid bitterness.
  5. Enjoy!
