Description
Homemade almond butter is easy to make at home with just almonds and salt. You’ll save money and you control the ingredients!
Ingredients
- 1 pound (3 cups) raw almonds
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
- Place your almonds on a rimmed baking sheet and roast for 10 minutes.
- Allow the almonds to cool slightly, about 5 minutes.
- Place the almonds in a food processor and process until you have a creamy consistency, stopping only to scrape down the bowl of a food processor as needed. Add the salt and pulse until it’s added.
Notes
In my food processor, it takes approximately 12 minutes to get to the creamy almond butter you see in the photos. You may need to process it a little longer or a little shorter depending on the machine you’re using as well as your personal preference of consistency. I like mine a little smoother and creamier than my husband does, who likes his almond butter with a little grit to it. You can get it even smoother and creamier than you see in my pictures by processing a little longer. Find the perfect consistency for you.
