Pumpkin Butter


A traditional pumpkin butter recipe


  • 1 29 ounce can pumpkin puree (not pumpkin pie flavored)
  • 1 cup xylitol (look for 100% pure xylitol with no fillers or additives)
  • 3/4 cup apple cider
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger


  1. In a medium to large saucepan, combine all ingredients and bring to a boil.  Reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes.  Remove from heat and cool before transferring to an airtight container where it will keep in the fridge for about 2 weeks.
