- 1 cup cashews
- 1 cup water
- 1/2 cup nutritional yeast
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 2 teaspoons tomato paste
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Place the cashews in a small bowl and fill it with water until they are completely covered by at least 2 inches. Allow the cashews to soak for 4+ hours.
- Drain the soaked cashews. Discard the soaking water.
- In a powerful high speed blender, add the cashews, 1 cup water, nutritional yeast, tomato paste, lemon juice, garlic salt, smoked paprika, and salt. Blend on high until you have a completely smoothy, creamy sauce.
- Sauce may be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 4-6 days.
