Description

This Air Fryer Chicken Cutlets recipe is a healthy way to enjoy crispy chicken cutlets without deep frying!

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 cup gluten-free seasoned crackers*
  • 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 egg, lightly beaten
  • 1/4 cup gluten-free all-purpose flour
  • 4 chicken cutlets**
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

  1. Place the crackers in a blender or food processor and process until they are a coarse crumb. Alternatively, you can put them in a ziplock bag and crush them with a meat mallet.
  2. Place the cracker crumbs in a shallow bowl and stir in the parmesan cheese.
  3. In two separate shallow bowls, put the egg and gluten-free flour.
  4. Dip each cutlet into the egg, then dredge in the flour, then finish with the cracker crumbs. ***
  5. Preheat the air-fryer to 375 degrees.
  6. Place the coated chicken cutlets in your air fryer and cook for 12-15 minutes. If you’re using a basket style air fryer, turn the cutlets over half way through the cooking time. If you’re using a tray style, change the position of the trays half way through the cooking time.

Notes

*I use these Cauliflower Crackers for this recipe. They are very flavorful. Make sure to use well-seasoned crackers for the best flavor in this recipe.

**Chicken cutlets are boneless, skinless chicken breasts that have been sliced in half horizontally, creating a thinner piece of meat.

***Pro tip: Use separate hands to dip in the egg, flour, and cracker crumbs to avoid “breading” your fingers!
