Description

It’s easy to make the Classic Mint Julep recipe at home with just a few simple ingredients!


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2.5 ounces bourbon
  • 0.5 ounces simple syrup
  • 57 mint sprigs
  • crushed ice

Instructions

  1. Muddle the mint sprigs with the simple syrup at the bottom of a julep cup*
  2. Fill half way with crushed ice. Add bourbon and stir.
  3. Fill remaining half cup with crushed ice and garnish with a mint sprig.

Notes

*Mint Juleps are traditionally served in pewter or silver cups . The photograph above shows a modern copper mint julep cup. (affiliate links). If you don’t have a traditional Mint Julep cup, use whatever highball glass you have.
