This Healthy Peach Crisp Smoothie tastes just like peach crisp in smoothie form!


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup old fashioned rolled oats
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 teaspoons Sucanat
  • 2 cups frozen peach slices (from 2 large fresh peaches, peeled, sliced, and frozen)
  • 3/4 cup unsweetened almond milk (or milk of choice)
  • 3 dates
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. In a small sauce pan, combine the rolled oats, Sucanat, and water and bring it to a boil over medium heat.  Reduce the heat and cook for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.  Remove from heat and allow to cool completely. {Hint:  do this step the night before!}
  2. In a blender, combine the cooled cooked oatmeal, peaches, almond milk, dates, cinnamon, and vanilla and process until smooth.  Enjoy!
